Sending thank-you notes after a service is a quiet, meaningful way to express gratitude. To help take the guesswork out of the process during an already busy time, we've made these templates as simple and painless as possible to personalize and print. No design experience needed, and no complicated resizing required.
Step 1: Personalize Your Card
Front of the Card (Page 1): Click on any text box to add your loved one's name, dates, or custom headline. Click the photo placeholder to upload and drop in your chosen picture.
Back of the Card (Page 2): Edit the pre-written message, appreciation note, or acknowledgments to say exactly what you'd like.
Step 2: Copy Your Design
- Look at the top-right corner of your screen and click Share.
- Click Copy to clipboard (if you don't see it right away, click the three dots ... or More first).
- Select Page 1 for the front design and click the purple Copy to clipboard button.
Note: You only need to copy the card once. Your computer holds onto it so you can quickly paste it into the print sheet.
Step 3: Fill Your Print Sheet (Front Side)
First, decide where you'll be printing so you can pick the right page layout:
- Page 3 (2-Up Sheet): Fits 2 cards on standard home printer paper (8.5" × 11", landscape).
- Page 5 (4-Up Sheet): Fits 4 cards on larger paper (11" × 17", portrait) used by office print shops.
How to place your cards:
- Scroll down to Page 3 or Page 5.
- Click once on the empty white margin space around the frame outlines (not inside an actual frame).
- Paste your design using your keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+V on Windows / Cmd+V on Mac) or right-click and select Paste.
- Your card will appear at the exact size needed. Click and drag it by its center over one of the empty frames until it cleanly snaps into place.
- Click the white outer background again, paste your design once more, and drag it into the next frame. Repeat until all frames on the page are filled.
Step 4: Fill the Back Sheet (Optional)
If you're creating double-sided cards, follow the same steps for the back layout:
- Scroll back up to Page 2 (your back design) and copy it to your clipboard.
- Scroll down to your matching back layout (Page 4 for standard paper, or Page 6 for print shop paper).
- Click the white background, paste your design, and drag it into the frames until the page is full.
Step 5: Save & Download
To keep your print file clean, you only want to download the actual sheets you filled — not the instruction pages or single templates.
- Click Share (top right) → Download.
- Change the File Type to PDF Print for the crispest, highest-quality output.
- Under Select Pages, check only the sheets you populated:
- Single-sided cards: Download a 1-page PDF (select only Page 3 OR Page 5).
- Double-sided cards: Download a 2-page PDF (select Pages 3 & 4 for standard paper, or Pages 5 & 6 for print shop paper).
Step 6: Printing & Cutting
- Paper Choice: For a warm, premium feel, we recommend printing on heavy cardstock (80 lb to 110 lb).
- Scale Setting: In your printer window, double-check that your scale is set to 100% or Actual Size (avoid "fit to page," as it will shrink your cards).
-
Double-Sided Alignment: To ensure the back side prints right-side up, select the correct flip setting in your printer menu:
- 2-Up Sheet (8.5" × 11" Landscape): Choose Flip on Short Edge.
- 4-Up Sheet (11" × 17" Portrait): Choose Flip on Long Edge.
- Trimming: Use a paper cutter or scissors to trim straight along the light corner crop marks.
- Print Shop Alternative: If you'd rather not print at home, simply email your downloaded PDF to a local copy center (like Staples, Office Depot, or FedEx Office). They can print them on heavy cardstock and cut them down for you in just a few minutes.
