Below are answers to the most common questions about our digital templates, licensing, editing, downloading, and support.
ABOUT THE TEMPLATES
Are these physical products?
No — Noted and Charmed does not ship a physical item. Every template is delivered digitally as a Canva file, personalized by you, and then printed — at home or through a local print shop — into a physical keepsake like a program, guest book, or prayer card.
What software do I need?
Our templates are designed for Canva, a free online design tool. You do not need Canva Pro to use our templates.
Can I edit everything?
Yes—text, photos, colors, and most elements are editable. Some layout elements may be locked to keep the design structure consistent.
Are your templates sized for printing?
Yes. Each template is created in standard print sizes (such as US Letter, A4, or booklet formats). The size is listed in each product description.
Do you use AI in your designs or mockup images?
We do, in two limited ways, alongside our own hands-on design work. Some of our product mockup photos use AI-generated people rather than real stock photo models — since our mockups represent memorial and funeral tribute products, we felt it wasn't appropriate to use a real, identifiable stranger's face and likeness in imagery tied to grief and loss. AI-generated people let us show what a template looks like in use without borrowing someone's actual identity for that purpose.
Some individual decorative elements throughout our designs — such as florals, frames, or ornamental accents — began as AI-generated concepts that we then hand-refined, redrew, recolored, or reworked into final artwork. The finished designs are our own creative execution, not raw AI output.
Every template itself — the overall design, layout, artwork, and text — is created and assembled by hand in Canva. No template is generated wholesale by AI.

How do I set up a free Canva account?
Go to www.canva.com
Click Sign Up
Choose Email, Google, or Apple
Create your free account
You're ready to open and edit your template
All Noted and Charmed templates work with Canva Free.
How do I open my template?
After purchase, you'll receive:
A download file with instructions and a Canva link, or
A direct Canva link on your order confirmation page
Click the link → Canva opens → Select "Use template".
EDITING YOUR TEMPLATE SAFELY
Should I make a copy before editing?
Yes — always. This protects your original file in case you need to:
Undo major changes
Start over
Create multiple versions
Reprint with different details
Fix mistakes without losing your layout
How do I make a copy in Canva?
Open the template
Click File (top left)
Select Make a copy
Rename the copy and edit that version
Your original template stays untouched and safe.
LICENSING & USAGE
How many times can I use a template?
Each template purchase includes a license for one‑time use. You may use the template for one client, one family, or one event.
Does this apply to everyday customers too?
Yes. Whether you are:
A family member creating a program
A friend helping with a service
A funeral home or church serving a client
One purchase = one use. New client, family, or event = new purchase.
Can I reuse the template for multiple families?
Not under the standard license. You must purchase the template again for each new family or event.
Can I share the template with others?
No. You may not:
Share the editable Canva link
Send the template file to others
Upload the template to any marketplace
Can I resell the template or claim it as my own?
No. You may not:
Resell or redistribute the template
Claim the design as your own
Use the design in products you sell
Will you offer an unlimited‑use license?
Yes—an Annual Unlimited License for businesses is coming soon. Until then, all usage is one‑time per purchase.
ACCESSING, EDITING & DOWNLOADING
How do I access my template after purchase?
After checkout, your Canva template link is delivered by email. You will also find a link on your order confirmation page.
Click the link → Canva opens → Select "Use template".
How do I edit the template in Canva?
Click the Canva link
Log in or create a free Canva account
Click "Use template"
Edit text, photos, and colors
Save your changes in Canva
How do I download my final design?
In Canva:
Click Share → Download
Choose PDF (Print) for printing, or PNG/JPG for digital use
Click Download and save the file to your device
PRINTING & FILE TYPES
What file type should I use for printing?
Use PDF (Print) for best results. Most print shops prefer PDF files.
Are your templates designed for laser or inkjet printers?
Our templates are designed with laser printing in mind for the cleanest, sharpest results. Inkjet printers can be used, but:
Heavy ink areas may appear softer or more saturated
Colors may print darker
Drying time may be longer
Ink-heavy designs may not look as crisp
Premium paper is strongly recommended
For the most professional finish, we recommend laser printing or using a professional print shop.
Can I use these with professional printers?
Yes. Our templates are designed to be print‑ready. You can send the exported PDF to any professional printer.
Where can I print the program?
You can print:
At home
At a local print shop
Through an online printer
We recommend checking your printer's bleed/margin settings before printing.
ORDER ISSUES & SUPPORT
I didn't receive my download or Canva link. What should I do?
First, check your spam/junk folder. If it's not there, email hello@notedandcharmed.com and we'll resend it.
Can you edit the template for me?
At this time, we do not offer custom editing services.
Do you offer refunds?
Because our products are digital templates, all sales are final. Please review the full product description before purchasing.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Do I need Canva Pro?
No. Our templates are created using free Canva elements. If you choose to add Canva Pro elements, Canva may charge you separately.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. You can upload your own images into Canva and place them in the template.
What if Canva changes or updates?
We design templates to work with current Canva features. If Canva makes major changes, we may update future templates, but older purchases remain usable as‑is.
EU CUSTOMERS — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
Are EU customers entitled to a refund or withdrawal?
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. However, because our digital templates are delivered by email after purchase and you consent to this at checkout, the right of withdrawal does not apply per EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m).
If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal (for example, if your template was not delivered), please contact us at hello@notedandcharmed.com with your order number within 14 days of purchase. We will respond promptly.
